Grave Of The Fireflies (Hotaru no haka) 1988
Een studio Ghibli film van regisseur Isao Takahata, die totaal afwijkt van films als Totoro en Sprited away. Daarentegen schieten woorden te kort over hoe ik deze film het beste kan beschrijven. I cried my eyeballs out! Deze film is zo intens, zo mooi, maar ook zo vreselijk verdrietig, dat dit er niet echt eentje is voor “even tussendoor”. (meer…)
